Lateral Diplomatic Decision: Between Indonesia-Israel
(personal perspective of on the great possibilities how Indonesia can be genuine 'mediator' on Middle East Peace)

In my opinion, Indonesia should and could have a mutual-beneficial relationship with Israel. Former President Gus Dur has a moderate mind considering diplomatic relationship with Israel. Indonesian people/government will get many advantages from diplomatic relationship with Israel.
We have to admit that Israel is a peculiar nation. The impacts if Indonesian Government take a proactive move to show good intention opening a diplomatic relationship will be huge for the benefits of both parties.
What is going on in Israel is one of the barometer of the fluctuations of the world's stock market. Regardless of some sentiments against Jews tribes we should put aside our ego and admit that we need to be objective and neutral to be a mediator for peace in the Middle East.
We badly need not to be naive and ignorance on this particular subject. When a country what to mediate peace, true peace must we have in order to give peace. As a country Indonesia/ we need to see our self on the mirror of truth (reflections). Ask our self do we have 'peace' in our own country?
I used to hear that Indonesia is a sleeping elephant ? Maybe we can wake the sleeping elephant by opening diplomatic relationship with Israel. Mutual and beneficial relationship between Indonesia is a promising option to consider if we wish to be a great nation with a great 'heart'.
Needless to say, Israel is a small country with a great influence in the world. If we have diplomatic relationship with Palestine then why not with Israel? We have to put our pride aside.
WHY NOT? It is worth a try? What do you think Mr. President SBY?
Please consider diplomatic relationship between Indonesia and Israel.

Truly yours,
BOB
