"THE LORD OF GAMBLER"

The upcoming legislative and presidential elections in Indonesia is just near the corner. The heat is getting hotter than ever. I have been observing the political advertisements on various Indonesian media are cost a 'fortune'.
The war of advertising is on. On the other hand, so called 'global economic crisis' seems to be nonsenses for Indonesian politicians. Indonesian politicians seem to be very resilient toward the 'global economic hypnosis'.
Imagine the prices they have to pay for those banners, print ads, tv ads, internet ads, etc.
Not to mention, the contributions $ they have to give to the political party they belong. The sweet and bitter political promises were thrown to their potential constituents so they could gain more votes in their favors.
Seems to me that we are facing the era of 'daze and confused' to determine who could really give Indonesia a better change.
The propaganda is so rugged and 'brutal'. I'm very concerned with the situations today that those money could be used to create a better Indonesia.
If those campaign money was used for the investment on Indonesian educations, health care, agriculture's, maritime s, we could see the difference instead of 'wasting' it on the self promotions to 'gain a secure positions and power' after being elected.
Now, everybody are saying they really 'care', 'love' the people of Indonesia. Vote.
Yet, we are facing the paradox, irony, agony of politicians' MUMBO JUMBO.
The politicians are trying to 'hypnotized' the Indonesian citizens with their 'empty promises'.
Now, is the time for everybody to be very careful with various political offers.
Everybody trying to tell us who is the best.
Hope we could be wiser.

Yours,
BOB
